The area
North east Fife packs a lot into a small space. Gorgeous to look at, surrounded
by the sea on three sides, it offers a huge variety of scenery and activities. You’ll
find your own Fife, but in the meantime, here are some of our own favourite places
and things to do.
Villages, towns and cities
Blebo Craigs itself is a small village perched on the southern slope of a rocky
hill, backing onto woods, with great walks and access to the beautiful Dura Den
gorge.
From here, it’s easy to explore the villages of the East Neuk – Crail, Anstruther,
Pittenweem, St Monans, Elie and Earlsferry – as well as St Andrews, a bustling,
eclectic mix of students, golfers, locals and visitors.
Twelve miles away the city of Dundee is a fascinating combination of old and new
and is currently undergoing an exciting thirty-year regeneration programme centred
around the landmark Victoria and Albert Museum Dundee, set to open in 2015.
Clatto Bothy is also a good base for day trips to other parts of Scotland, with
Edinburgh, Perth, Stirling, Glasgow and even Aberdeen all within reach.
